Who do martial arts themselves

Apr. Magomed Ibragimov

Apr. Magomed Ibragimov

MSc. Drug Development - Pharmacist

Magomed grew up in Antwerp and started wrestling at the age of six. For twelve years, he trained at clubs such as Olympus Kapellen and Worstelclub Borz, until he was eighteen.

After that, he went to university to study pharmaceutical sciences. He graduated cum laude with a Master's degree in Drug Development and started working as a freelance pharmacist.

His passion for combat sports never faded. When the opportunity arose to combine it with his pharmaceutical background, he founded SHIDŌ to support athletes.

MSc. Pharmaceutical Care - Pharmacist

Jiwan started karate as a child and later traded the mat for the football field, where he played at a high level until an injury ended his career at seventeen.

He graduated cum laude with a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Care from the University of Antwerp. During those years, he rediscovered martial arts through judo at Asahi and later jiu-jitsu at Satori Kwai.

Within two years, he opened his first pharmacy, and a few years later, a second.

At the counter, he noticed how many martial artists didn't know which supplements they needed. From that observation, SHIDŌ grew.

Common issues

In martial arts

Muscle cramps

Cramps in calves and feet are common among athletes. A mineral deficiency can play a role in this.

Fatigue

Even after eight hours of sleep, many athletes start their day with low energy. This impacts their training.

LACK OF SLEEP

Heavy evening workouts can make it difficult to fall asleep. Due to adrenaline, you might still be awake at 2 AM.

Immune system

Intense exercise temporarily suppresses your immune system. Just when you should be at your peak.
